The Blog Hog
So I write about a lot of different things on my blog. Lately it seems a little scattered and I feel that I may not be what I want as of yet. Its been just over a year since I started bloggin, came up with the title and have been spending my free time filling it in ever since. I have gained a few regular readers and have a few blogs that I follow as well. It has become a great hobby of mine and Im not giving it up anytime soon. I know that my writing skills are not the best even though I have a great college education, spelling and grammar have always been my biggest downfall. I apologize for that as I'm sure many of you have noticed but you keep coming back anyway. Some days the words just flow out with little to be concerned about while other days I have a sudden urge of inspiration and when I begin to write it down I get lost in all the thoughts. I know this is probably the problems and feelings of any writer so I continue to do it anyway.
Now comes the question... where exactly am I going with this blog? What is it that that I want to say? I've been thinking about this for some time and the only answer I can come up with is that overall I think it has been lacking a personal touch and needs to be a little more consistent. Sure I express my options about current events and sometime add a short blip about my personal life but it seems so censored at times. I think what I need to do I relate the two a bit more. How do the events of the world around relate to me. So until next time thanks for coming by and ill see you in the blogsphere.

I hear what you are saying about coming up with interesting and blog worthy entries. Sometimes it seems that there is nothing that I have to say that will interest the Blogging community. I think that that is when you have to realize that you are really blogging for yourself and if you have an audience great and if not then oh well.
Once in awhile I'll hit on a topic that people want to post on. But that is very rare. Keep up the great work.

I blogged for two years, took a break for a year, and just restarted. If I had one piece of advice it would be "blog for yourself". Stop caring if people read it, stop caring if people visit it. Blog for yourself alone. Re-read your own blog for enjoyment. Never let the feeling that you "have to post" to take hold.
Blogging is fun again.
I like what the others have said about blogging for yourself. Yeah, I'm conscious of my audience, and once in a while (like yesterday), I'll apologize for something I'm writing because I'm cognizant of that audience.
Most of the time, though, it's just one big freewrite. I think the only thing that's consistent in my blog is my voice - whatever I happen to be writing about, be it relationship woes or some heavy matter facing the universe, I can hear Heather through it.
But I like the idea of including more of the personal... that's the really interesting, juicy stuff, IMO.
your blog is kinda like mine: writing whatever comes to mind, be it current events, life happenings, things on our minds, etc. etc. ... i asked myself the purpose question too a while back, and in the end just kept on writing whatever came to mind. if that happens to relate to what's going on in the world, then so be it!

I gave up trying to be interesting fifty blog articles ago. I still keep trying to get the spelling right. But my blog spell checker thinks that blog is spelled wrong so how good can it be ?So write on and enjoy the writing. Let us readers worry about the reading.
i never censor myself. I figure if people get pissed, to hell with 'em! I'm not trying to impress anybody. It's MY blog.
I see any blog as a very personal work in progress. I think we're all kind of figuring out what we want our own spaces to be. I also think we'll never be quite finished, because it is, after all, an ongoing journey.
I'm glad to be following yours, though, as your observations on life are thought-provoking and well considered.
