Aspen, NY

So I made it down to NJ again this past weekend. On friday Heather and I made it to the Brooklyn Museum of Art and I got to see Edward Burtynsky photography. I have to highly recommend that you go there and see it. He has really made colour photography that is appealing to almost anyone. His high contrast and large prints some over 40"x60" are absolutely amazing. The rest of the Museum was great with a nice american contemporary art section. Their was so much to see although we only spent about an hour looking, we had to leave sooner than expected since all of the walking we did earlier made us so hungry.
Saturday was my photo gig at a new bar called Aspen 30 West 22th St. New York, NY between 5th and 6th. Its grand opening is this friday the 11th. Besides taking photos most of the night the crowd was great and the food and drinks were flowing. The bar has a great colorado ski lodge theme that is unlike any other bar in NY. I can assure you that this will be a great place for the weekend scene and even though it was not yet complete when I was there I can assure you that they have not cut any corners in making this into a fantastic night spot. Ill have some photos up in a few days if you want to come back and check it out.
I have not had much time to write this week so I just wanted to post a little something to make me feel better.
