Orange Alert, Raising the Bar to War on Terror

It very unfortunate to wake up to such disturbing news. The bombings in London are another reminder that we are living in a new world. I cannot help but wonder how much longer the states will be immune to the terror that surely lurks upon our own soil It not a question of if it will happen, in todays times its just a matter of when. The terrorist have no mercy and inconceivably no desire to live. Personally I'm middle of the road as far supporting the US decision to lead the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Having spoken with my cousin who was stationed in Falusia for seven months I no longer believe that our presence in those country's are a complete waste of time. It may be that with our occupation of these countries that resistance is on the rise but I believe that if we hadn't taken a stance against terrorist then we would be no better off now.

Allow me to clarify my political standing, realizing that i'm at risk of loosing some friends, Id like to spark a discussion. First of all Im am not one who supports war in the form of combat. Instinctive or not its something that we as civilized people should rethink. Are approaches throughout history have never resulted in considerably positive out comes. Terrorist attacks are clearly a form of protest against capitalist nations and developed countries who have the ability to choose not to exploit those of lesser economic power. Even though it seems that today a war without weapons when there is already an existence smart bombs and army's trained to kill is virtually impossible without the destruction of them all around the board. It seems that a different approach can be still be taken, right on the home fronts of these developed countries. The first change would be as simple as making changes to the way other countries are treated. Instead of exploiting there resources they should be rewarded and guided as how to use them as if they were within our own borders. It is every individuals responsibility to consume responsibly and should not be left up to our government to control. I realize that I state the obvious here but this goes unsaid by many who most likely realize this in the end. Hypocrites we may be in the past but making an effort to be responsible in the future can only result to a more peaceful world.

God Bless those whom lost their life today in London we have been their before and hope that we all can make the changes necessary to keep terror from rising up.

If you are in tune with the world then you probably have herd about the google maps. I have spent hours scanning the earth from above. Its the voyeuristic feeling I experience that keeps me going back for more. But now google has done it again and just introduced google earth. You should definitely check it out while it is free its features far surpass those of the google maps. The only downfall, it only works for PC's at the moment but you can count on google releasing a version for the mac in the near future.

The start of something new. I must begin a hobby for my hour or so before bed that I find myself surfing the net for news and non worthy subjects that make little presence in the world of cyberspace. So I invite you to share my findings and I hope that this blog can develop into something of interest to all.
